  1. WHO WE ARE AND WHY WE EXIST

The Human Biosystems Protection (HBP) Campaign is coordinated by CSI Ecosystem Ltd. CSI Ecosystem Ltd is a registered UK company and holds appropriate business insurance. This site exists to build a coalition of signatories in support of a submission to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health. Contact: cat@csi-ecosystem.com

2. What data we collect and why

When you sign the open letter or register as a campaign signatory, we collect: your name, your email address, and your organisation (if provided).

This data is collected for the following purposes:

  • To include your name and organisation (if provided) in the list of signatories supporting the submission to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to a Healthy Environment.

  • To send you campaign updates and information about the submission and its outcomes.

  • To contact you about related Human Biosystems Protection campaign activities, which you may opt out of at any time.

3. How your data is stored and who can access it

Signatory data is held on a secure server. Access is restricted to the campaign team at CSI Ecosystem Ltd, and to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to a Healthy Environment and related UN agencies, solely for the purposes of verifying the signatory list accompanying the formal submission.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any commercial third parties. 

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you choose to sign the letter.

You may withdraw your consent and request removal from the signatory list at any time by contacting cat@csi-ecosystem.com. Please note that if the submission has already been made to the UN, we may not be able to amend the submitted document, but we will remove your data from all future campaign communications and records.

5. Analytics

This site uses Squarespace's built-in analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate (e.g. page views, traffic sources). This data is anonymised and does not identify individual visitors.

In accordance with UK and EU GDPR requirements, a cookie consent banner is displayed on your first visit. Analytics cookies are only placed if you accept. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or adjusting your browser settings.

We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising tracking on this site.

6. Data retention

We will retain signatory data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above. Following the conclusion of the campaign and any subsequent UN processes, data will be reviewed and deleted unless you have given consent for ongoing contact.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent at any time; object to or restrict processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. THE USE OF AI TOOLS

CSI Ecosystem Ltd uses AI-assisted tools in the development of certain technical elements of this project. Claude (developed by Anthropic) has been used to support front-end development of campaign site components.

All strategic frameworks, campaign content, and original intellectual work were originated and developed by CSI Ecosystem Ltd. AI tools have been used in an assistive capacity only and have not generated any of the underlying research frameworks, policy analysis, or community data on which this campaign is based.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.
